AI Reduplication

In the user interface, repetition is everywhere. Repetitive elements can bring consistency to the design, make a product easier to understand, and minimize the time and mental effort for the users.

Typically, to draw a more realistic user interface, designers need to go through several steps such as copying and pasting multiple times, adjusting layouts, and modifying content.

AI Reduplication allows AI to analyze prior design files and quickly generate suitable content for your business scenarios. Designers can achieve bulk copy and layout adjustment at the same time with a single drag.

Set the reference range of AI Reduplication

Before using AI Reduplication, you need to set a reference range. AI needs to analyze the usage of image and text in your prior files, which makes the reduplication results align with the business scenarios.

Click Main menu - Preferences - Reference range of AI Reduplication… to open the settings panel. Check the teams and projects you need AI to reference, and click Done to define a customized reference range.

Use AI Reduplication

  1. 1.Click '24_Toolbar_AIseacted.svg' in the toolbar, select AI Reduplication, or use the shortcut D to use this feature. 'Use AI Reduplication.png'
  2. 2.Click to select the content you want to copy.
  3. 3.Hold and drag the control handle at the bottom right corner of the layer selection box to reduplicate.
  4. 4.After dragging, release the control handle to complete the AI Reduplication.

You can control the direction and quantity of the reduplication by adjusting the direction and distance of the drag.

Tip: When dragging the AI Copy handle, hold down ⌥ Option / Alt to achieve fast copying without replacing any content.

Time required for reference range updates

Setup for the first time

When a file is selected for the first time, AI needs some time to analyze your prior design files.

Therefore, after setting the reference range, you can immediately use the AI Reduplication feature, but it may take some time to generate personalized content based on your prior design files.

Update file content

When the file content in the reference scope is updated, the AI analysis process may be delayed because it needs to analyze the new content. The required time may vary depending on the volume of concurrent updates. Generally, the AI Reduplication function will complete the process of analyzing new content within 24 hours after the file content changes.

Reference scope and file permissions

You can set teams or projects with Can view or Can edit permissions as the reference scope for AI Reduplication. AI will analyze the files in which you have these two permissions.

Effective scope of the reference range

The reference range of AI Reduplication is only effective for your organization. If you switch organizations or switch to External teams, you need to reset the reference range for using this feature.
