When you are in Motiff's editor, you will see sidebars on both sides of the canvas. Along with the toolbar, these sidebars make up the Motiff user interface (hereafter referred to as Motiff UI). Motiff UI allows you to access, create, and adjust elements of your design:
What you have access to in the right sidebar depends on your permissions in the file and your seat type.
In the Design panel, you can view, add, remove, or change the properties of layers.
When nothing is selected on the canvas, you can view the local styles of the current file in the Design panel and edit the canvas background.
After selecting a layer, the design panel will include more settings. The type of layer selected will determine which specific settings are displayed in the design panel. For example, selecting a text layer allows you to view and adjust the text format. Selecting a main component allows you to view, detach, or swap instances in the instance menu.
In the design panel, inactive properties are displayed in gray, while active properties are displayed in black. The design panel includes the following properties:
