In the Professional plan and Organization plan, each member has a specific seat, and the type of seat affects the member's operation permissions in Motiff. Different types of seats will be charged differently, and your plan along with the number of paid seats determine the overall cost.
Tip: You can view the current price per seat of your plan by visiting the Pricing page.
Motiff supports three types of seats: Viewer seats, Developer seats, and Designer seats. Among these, the Developer and Designer seats are paid seats.
Viewer seats are free and aimed at helping members quickly start using Motiff and facilitate collaboration. Members with Viewer seats can view authorized files and add comments, as well as create and edit files in drafts.
Members can upgrade their seats to paid ones by sending requests to the admin. The admin can approve or decline these upgrade requests.
Developer seats are available in the Professional plan and Organization plan. Members with Developer seats can use Motiff's Dev Mode features, including all advanced inspection, codegen, export with presets, etc.
Members with Designer seats can use all design, prototype, and Dev Mode features, as well as collaborate with other members within the team or organization.
Note: When a member is downgraded to a Viewer seat by the admin or upgraded to a paid seat again, they need the approval from admins.
Tip: When hovering over a paid seat, its upgrade date and reason will appear in a toast.
Organization plan admins can set the seat type when inviting new members:
