Preference settings

In the Main menu - Preferences, you can adjust some operation preferences, including:

• Snap to pixel grid
• Invert zoom direction
• Ctrl+click opens right click menus
• Color profiles…
• Nudge amount…

Snap to pixel grid

Enabling Snap to Pixel Grid to place layers in the desired position:

• Align layers with the pixel grid when drawing, moving, or dragging to adjust on the canvas.
• In vector editing mode, adding or moving content on the canvas can align with half-pixel grids.
• When using the functions of Alignment, Distribute spacing, and Tidy up on layers, the position of the layers will be aligned to the nearest pixel grid.

Invert zoom direction

Canvas zoom direction refers to whether the canvas will be zoomed in or out when scrolling the mouse wheel while holding ⌘ Command / Ctrl .

When Invert zoom direction is enabled, the current zoom direction will be reversed.

Ctrl+click opens right click menus

To support some users' special devices or preferences, Motiff supports enabling Ctrl+click opens right click menus on macOS.

After enabling this setting, hold Ctrl and left-click the mouse will bring up the context menu.

File color profile

Motiff supports two color profiles: sRGB and Display P3.

sRGB is the most widely used color profile, which is supported by almost all browsers and monitors.

Display P3 supports more vibrant colors than sRGB. Although Display P3 has yet to become the standard for the web and monitors, it is becoming increasingly popular. If you design exclusively for Apple devices, Display P3 suits you.

Nudge amount

Nudge amount refers to the distance a layer moves with a single press of ↑ , ↓ , ← , → .

By default, Small nudge is set to 1 and Big nudge is set to 10. You can customize the nudge amount in the input box.
