In your team, you can use project grouping files and configure permissions for each project individually.
A project has two permission levels: Can edit and Can view. When inviting others to a project, project members can only assign permission levels equal to or lower than their own:
Can edit
permission can invite others to join the file with either Can edit
or Can view
permission.Can view
permission can invite others to join the file with Can view
permission.Different permission levels will affect the range of actions a member is authorized to perform.
Unlike the team settings, Motiff supports configuring permissions on a project differently. You can set which permissions team members have on a project and invite non-team members to join the project for collaboration.
There are four types of permissions for team members on a project:
Tip: Search by name only works for users who have collaborated on other resources.
If you invite a team member to a project individually, Motiff will follow the permissions you set when inviting this person, regardless of the project's permission configuration for all team members. For example: If the project's permission configuration for all team members is Can view
, and a member is individually invited with Can edit
permissions, the actual permission for that member on the project will be Can edit
.
For members who have been individually invited to a project and have not joined the team, they need to view these projects in Shared projects.
