Notification updates

Motiff helps you stay updated on your account activities through message notifications, including comments, invites, requests, and more.

You can check messages directly in the workspace or receive related notifications via email.

Workspace notifications

Motiff displays notifications in the message center located on the left side of the user avatar. If there are new notifications, a red dot will appear above https://motiff.fbcontent.cn/public/resource/cms/image/ex3cmz2w7.svg. 'Notification updates 1.png'

The Notifications modal shows notifications from the past 100 days. From this modal, you can:

  • View comment notifications related to you
  • View invites for files, projects, or teams
  • View notifications of approval results
  • Approve requests to join a team
  • Approve seat requests
  • Click on a notification to open the related file or resource
  • Click Mark all as read to clear all unread notifications

Manage email notifications

Motiff enables email notifications by default, but you can manually disable them.

  1. 1.Click https://motiff.fbcontent.cn/public/resource/cms/image/dzi743ab5.svg on the right side of your avatar.
  2. 2.Click Settings.'Notification updates 2.png'
  3. 3.Toggle the switch of Email notifications to adjust the email notification settings.'Notification updates 3.png'
  4. 4.After enabling Email notifications, you can further select the types of messages you want to receive under File comments and Invites and requests.

Manage file comment notifications

You can choose from the following three types of file comment notifications:

  • All comments, mentions, and replies
  • Just mentions and replies
  • None

Tips: You can also manage comment notifications for individual files. Learn more about how to manage notifications for comments.

Email notification settings and individual file notification settings work together to determine the notification rules:

  • If you set email notification settings to All comments, mentions, and replies and set individual file notification settings to Just mentions and replies, Motiff will only notify you about messages related to you.
  • If you set email notification settings to None and set individual file notification settings to Just mentions and replies, Motiff will not notify you of any messages.

Manage invites and requests

You can choose from the following three types of invites and requests:

  • All types of invites and requests
  • Only invites and requests that need my response
  • None
