Motiff allows you to delete your account, which will permanently remove your account and all data linked to it. Once you've deleted your account, you won't be able to log in or access any of your assets or services associated with that account.
Important notes
Note: If you are the only admin for an Organization plan or the only team admin for a Professional plan, you cannot delete your account.
You must complete the following actions on the desktop app before proceeding with account deletion:
- Subscriptions: Deleting your account will not cancel purchased Professional or Organization plans. The responsibility for billing and subscription management will be transferred to other team admins.
- Personal drafts: Your personal drafts will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. To avoid losing important assets or affecting the access of other members, it would be better to move drafts that need to be shared to a team before deleting your account.
- Team assets:
- If you are the team owner and there are no other members, the team and all its assets will be deleted.
- If the team has other members, you will be removed from the team, and ownership will transfer to the member with the highest permissions or the earliest join date.
- Organization assets: Your drafts, teams, projects, files, and other assets within the organization will be transferred to the organization admin.
Steps for account deletion
Desktop app
- 1.Click next to your avatar and select Settings.
- 2.In the Delete account section, click Delete.
- 3.Enter your password in the Delete account panel and click Continue for security verification.
- 4.Enter your email in the Delete account panel and click Delete to complete the process.
- 5.After completing the deletion, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address from notification@email.motiff.com.
Mobile app
- 1.Log in to your account and tap your avatar in the top-right corner.
- 2.Go to the account management page and tap More.
- 3.Tap Delete account.
- 4.Enter your password in the Verify panel and tap Continue.
- 5.Tap Delete to complete the process.
- 6.After completing the deletion, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address from notification@email.motiff.com.
