Image loading and performance

This article will introduce common image-loading issues in Motiff and corresponding solutions.

Image resolution

Motiff stores images in both high-resolution and low-resolution versions. High-resolution images are images larger than 512 x 512 pixels.

Motiff only downloads high-quality versions of images in your current viewport, while lower-quality versions are loaded for images outside your view. This improves performance when you first load a file.

If your file contains a large number of high-resolution images, they may appear blurry at first. Motiff will load the high-resolution images as you access the file.

Note: Exporting content that includes images outside the current viewport may take longer, as Motiff requires downloading high-resolution versions of all images within the export range.

If you still see the low-resolution version of images, you can try the following:

  • Close and reopen the affected file.
  • Close any other Motiff files.
  • Check your internet speed and connection to ensure that your device is online.
  • If you are using Motiff in the browser, exit the browser and restart it.
  • If you are using the desktop app, right-click the file tab and select to reload the tab.
