Enable libraries in a file

Motiff supports designers with Can edit permission to set a default library for the file. When a library is enabled in a file, all collaborators in the file can use the components and styles from that library.

You can only enable libraries that you have permission to access. These libraries include:

  • Libraries published to your organization.
  • Libraries published in your team.
  • Specific libraries you have access to.

Enable a library

  1. 1.

    Switch to Assets panel in the left sidebar and click '16_Panel_ComponentLibrary.svg' . Or use the shortcut:

    • macOS: ⌥ Option + 3
    • Windows: Alt + 3
  2. 2.

    The library panel will show the libraries you can enable.

    a. Each library is labeled with the number of styles and components it contains.

    b. Click the library name to view its styles and components in detail.

  3. 3.

    Toggle the switch for the library name to enable or disable the corresponding library.

    Click '16_Common_Close.svg' to return to the canvas. 'Enable a library-01.png'

When you enable a library in a file, all collaborators in the file can use the components and styles from that library.

In the Asset panel on the left sidebar, find the component you want to use, then click and drag it onto the canvas. Learn more about creating instances.
